Worked with Oracle DB data replication team and F5 with their BigIP data replication
wide area network acceleration product for the F5 BigIP appliance. Developed
architecture and implemented in the partner lab providing two separate Oracle database
and application environments, representing two datacenters, separated by a WAN
simulator in order to perform performance based demonstrations.

Worked with Household International on a large scale Sybase
and distributed application system to support over 1000 branch locations. Helped
architect datacenter architecture with 4 large scale Sybase servers, RAID storage, and
network and application integration with Household mainframe systems. Invented a
mainframe connectivity framework signifcantly more capable than HLLAPI utilizing
UNIX IPC mechanisms, x3270 and expect. Designed and implemented worlds largest
NIS+ environment to support the large branch ofce network. Designed and
implemented completely automated staging environment in Clearwater FL to simplify
the hardware confguration and software installation of the entire branch ofce for the
1000+ branch locations.

Organized a team of experts to evaluate and recommend a
system for a Chicago area warehouse and distributor. Implemented the system and
provided custom software, other consulting, and support for over four years. Installed
system with Informix for all business applications. System uses Informix On-line and 23
active users on a Sun server. The Planning stage included system confguration, capacity
planning, and disaster recovery planning. Implementation stage included installing and
confguring the system, performance tuning, growth management, and automating many
of the system administration tasks, such as backing up daily transaction logs, nightly full
system backups, and more. Other activities include customer software development and
system administration and maintenance.

Spent two years at Rich as the Development Manager / Architect / Developer for a large development of workstation
applications for trading rooms. These applications were based on the X Windowing
System and targeted for a wide variety of hardware platforms, and were based on
distributed, “read-time” data.
